Sonic Sonya the Slayer

Sonic Sonya
It is a bleak day in the supernatural world when Sonic Sonya is out to play. The world had just finished dealing with the likes of Buffy, The Charmed Ones and Georgina Kincaid, but before they could recoup and get on with destroying humans, Sonic Sonya had arisen.

She never carried weapons, lest she scare the humans. In 2018, with a world on alert for any kind of weapons, it would be difficult for Sonic Sonya to wander around brandishing a sword. She had no sticks, no stakes, and no chants of those witches.

She was everything her name intended - fast, and loud to those with sensitive hearing. Her ability to go supersonic was like none before her. Deadly to the demonic, charming to the humans, the ability was one to be most feared by them. Her personality got her past any security, her confidence got her through the lairs (usually hidden in clubs) and her resounding roundhouse kick got her past any vampire guards.

On a fateful day, just like any other when it started, Sonic Sonya decided to meet a friend after French Class. Usually, she was relaxed, both in attire and attitude, but there was some niggling sense that told her that today wouldn't be like the others. Since her new year resolution was to listen to that gut instinct, she was on alert. Nothing happened in French Class, but she was still on high alert. She didn't eat the French dessert passed around, feigning an upset stomach. In reality, she was in full ketosis, and she wanted to maintain that state until this day passed at least.

She met her friend, well actually, acquaintance, at a bar nearby, called Blistering Barnacles. It was named after a human cartoon. She had been there a few times earlier and was comfortable with the location. It was on the third floor of a building, and she thought that she should have picked a place on the ground floor, But, it was already 8pm and nothing had happened throughout the day. You see, contrary to popular belief, the supernatural don't chill during the day, they are still quite active.

Lowering her guard a little, she welcomed her acquaintance warmly and they ordered their drinks. While they waited, at the corner  of her eye, she saw someone familiar. She ignored it, after all, this is a small city. After a few sips of her drink, she started to feel a little woozy. She picked up the drink and sniffed it. Chamomile, her weakness. She faked feeling more woozy to see what would happen. Luckily, because she was in ketosis, her body was rejecting the chamomile, and was slowly countering the effects. As she faked her confusion, she saw her acquaintance stand up and shake hands with her current enemy. A demon, who was known for his manipulation, his skill as a con artist and not to mention, his fondness for blood, though the blood thing is standard with all wicked supernatural beings. She was in shock that her acquaintance would sell her out, but reminded herself to not show emotion and keep the charade going. The thanked the universe for all those hours of practice for the dumb charades competition - she was a damn good actress now!

She was taken to the lair of the creepazoid, a demon in human form known for being charming at first, and a total creep later. The creepazoid intended to hold an auction where other demons could bet on how long she would survive in a pit of rats. She shuddered at the thought. Somehow, the oozing of slain demons never got to her, but rats - the yucky, smelly, pitter patter of their feet, the whiskers as they sniff all over you - she could not handle. Cannot able to.

As the creepazoid came closer, she pretended to be asleep, remembering to slow her breathing and keep it steady. She could smell his Axe cologne and more than anything, she wanted to tell him to invest in something better! She held on with great difficulty, biting her tongue. She could hear more demons entering the room, some came close to inspect her. She lay still as they waved their hands in front of her face to make sure that she was still knocked out. None of them wanted to deal with a Sonic Sonya.

She was then moved to the centre of the room, where a pit had been made. Before the creepazoid could release those rats, she opened her eyes. There was a collective gasp and the demons scrambled to get out of the room. Clearly, none of them had been forced to endure a fire drill because they all ran helter skelter trying to get out. She pulled her hands free, with Tom Petty's "I want to break free" chorusing in her head. Then, she let lose the mightiest weapon of all time. She screamed. All the demons bent down, trying to protect their ears. She slayed all the demons, keeping creepazoid and her acquaintance for last. She wanted to savour that.

She shoved creepazoid into the now full rat pit and laughed at his screams as the rats went to town on him. Shuddering at the thought that it could have been her, she turned and faced her acquaintance. The betrayer. She wondered what to do with him. Then an idea came to her head. She walked towards him, her face deathly calm, devoid of any emotion. "You can go. You won't know when, you won't know where, but I will come for you." She walked away, leaving the acquaintance quaking in his shoes and shitting in his pants for the rest of his life. She hoped he had a good adult diaper supplier.

Bangalore was once more safe, thanks to the Super Sonic Sonya!
